Turning Speed Judgment
The Turning Speed Judgment exercise evaluates your ability to corner confidently at higher speeds while maintaining a clean line through a curve without drifting wide or losing control. The Riding Sequence
1. Accelerate from Point E.
Move off and upshift.
On the examiner's instruction, move off from point "E" and smoothly change up into a higher gear.
2. Execute the Curve.
Maintain momentum.
Ride as fast as you can through the painted left-hand curve.
You must maintain a steady, brisk pace while keeping the motorcycle strictly within the track lanes.
3. Precision Stop at Point F.
Controlled stopping.
Exit the corner and bring the motorcycle to a complete, controlled stop at point "F".
4. Repeat in Reverse Direction.
Reverse course.
Turn the motorcycle around and repeat the identical test routine from point "F" back to the start in the opposite direction.
Boundary Rules and The 2-Attempt Buffer.
Zero-Tolerance Lines.
You must navigate the entire painted curve without touching any boundary lines.
Additionally, when bringing the motorcycle to a halt at point "F", you must not touch the outer boundary line.
The Speed Rule.
If you ride too slowly through the curve, the examiner will penalize the run. However, you are permitted a maximum of two attempts only to achieve the required speed, provided you did not touch or cross any boundary lines during your first run.
Essential Procedure
To successfully complete this exercise, you must execute the following sequence with precision and control.
1. 360-Degree Observation.
Before initiating any movement, perform a full 360-degree observation of the area to ensure the path is safe.
2. Move Off.
Pull away smoothly from the starting point.
3. Accelerate and Corner.
Accelerate and ride as fast as possible through the designated curve.
4. Maintain Lane Discipline.
You must not touch the curved boundary line at any point during your turn.
5. Precision Stop.
Bring the motorcycle to a complete stop at the second starting point.
You must avoid touching the outer boundary line while stopping.
6. Reverse Sequence.
Once completed, repeat the entire maneuver in the opposite direction.
CRITICAL WARNING (Instant Fail)
When the motorcycle is required to be stationary, any uncontrolled rolling—whether backward or forward—will result in an immediate FAIL, and your test will be discontinued.
