Test Structure

Part 1
The following skills will be assessed:

Pre-trip inspection of the motorcycle's roadworthiness

Starting and stopping the engine

Speed management and clutch/throttle control

Moving off and turning left

Changing to the next lane

Stopping on a line

Moving forward on an incline without rolling backwards

Part 2
The following advanced riding skills will be assessed:

Turning speed judgement (both left and right turns)

Starting and stopping the engine

Emergency stops

Emergency swerves (both left and right)

Controlled stopping techniques

Key Objective
The motorcycle rider test is designed to assess your ability to operate a motorcycle safely, maintain proper control, obey road rules, and perform a range of riding manoeuvres confidently and accurately under test conditions.

Scoring
During the test, penalty points may be awarded for any of the following:

Violation of traffic laws or regulations

Uncontrolled or dangerous actions

Collisions with obstacles, vehicles, or boundary markers

Mechanical failure of the motorcycle
Note: Accumulating penalty points may result in failure of the test, depending on the severity and number of infringements.

Test Track Layout
The test track consists of a series of manoeuvres designed to assess your ability to control the motorcycle safely and confidently.
Each section evaluates specific riding skills, including:

Vehicle control and balance

Observation and hazard awareness

Speed management

Turning and steering techniques

Emergency braking and evasive manoeuvres

Compliance with road rules and traffic signs
Candidates must complete each manoeuvre within the designated boundaries while maintaining full control of the motorcycle at all times.
